"Resistant Culture has claims to fame in guitarist Jesse Pintado (RIP),
who, post-Napalm Death, was working with the band before his untimely
passing, and vocalist Anthony Rezhawk (aka "Tony Militia"), who did the
last Terrorizer album alongside Pintado. However, this band more than
stands on its own, and I'm astounded that I didn't hear of it earlier.
This CD kills. It's crusty grindcore with tribal influences - but the
latter are truly tribal, working in Native American drums, chants, and
flutes. The riffs are crushing, the recording is crisp, and blastbeats
strafe the mix powerfully and precisely. 16 songs, 31 minutes, none
less than fierce. Rezhawk's vocals are strong and amazingly
understandable: "Clear cut the heart / Strip mine the soul / Nature for
profit / It's all out of control." These are sentiments I can
definitely get with. The lyrics come in a simple, legible font, and the
liner notes fold out to a bad-ass poster. I don't say this often - this

are from Modena, Italy. Now they added a guitar player so they're 5. As
you can guess by their name, they love Deviated Instinct. So do I,
can't blame them for this eheh. On this piece of wax they deliver 2
tracks of filthy stenchcore. Fast parts alternated to mid tempos
followed by metalish harsh distorted guitars and sung with raw growls.
This stuff reminds me of old UK stuff in the vein of the first crust
bands, so a lot of punkish flith mixed to metalish thrashing with an
80s style. One song is about religion, while the other one is an attack
to the so called "progress". Great recording if you ask me, definitely
worth checking out. On the other side there's Cruel Storm. They are a 4
piece d-beat band from Cesena, Italy. I had never heard them so this
was the first time they reached my ears. Fast hammering drums that
reminds me of some Scandinavian touches and some Masskontroll-ish
riffs, and a desperate vocalist and with a punkish edge that reminds me
of some Anti-Cimex. They too have 2 tracks, both have political lyrics.
One is against war and the other is a refusal of this society. I
actually like this stuff more than I thought. I'm not a big d-beat fan,
but this band mixes a lot of things I like, so "Fuck Yeah", I say.” diy

DESOLATEVOID „No Sign of Better Times” CD__ 39,00 If
Desolatevoid’s debut, Self Medicated Psycho Therapy (2006), contained
enough filthy groove to be the aural equivalent of dipping your toes in
a used colostomy bag the size of Lake Superior, its follow up, No Sign
of Better Times, will find the listener fully submerged. Allow opening
track, “Isolation Embrace,” to be the unexpected violent shove from
behind that sends you careening from the relative safety of the shore
into the stench and the muck. It is a song as fast and remorseless as a
down swing in today’s Stock Market. Lyrics are awash in paranoia,
alienation, and rage. Andy's vocals display more of a range this time,
while somehow managing to sound even more bestial. The rhythm section
of Tim (drums) and Nick (bass) is driving and tight. And the riffs and
leads, laid down by newcomer Stolp and veteran Brent K., are heavy and
contagious (the spectre of founding member Patrick Sova all over this
album). In fact, this album is a 30-minute summation of the last 30
years of heavy metal. There’s the doomy groove of “Crimes Against My
Sanity” (clever), the jet black punk junk of “Wreckage of Yesterday,”
the black metal flourishes of “Way Past Wits End,” the classic
death/grind opening and thrashy breakdown of “Fucked and Furious,” and
surprise of surprises, the NWOBHM riff spread throughout the album’s
opus, “Amongst the Scattered Pills.” It’s Metal History 101, kids.
DESOLATEVOID „Self Medicated Pyscho Therapy” CD__ 39,00 Lawdy,
lawdy, cover your ears and protect your privates, DESOLATEVOID ain't
foolin' around. That such a quality dish of battery acid and pit bull
balls has been released on one of the premier crust punk and grind
labels, Crimes Against Humanity, is not surprising. While Self
Medicated Psycho Therapy is not exclusively a crust or grindcore album,
bits of both genres are mixed into the putrid stew. Hell, there's
enough crust covering this black-toothed sludge metal bitch to bake the
world's largest apple pie. Consider an album that is anchored in a more
straight ahead SOILENT GREEN, sucks the bone marrow out of EYEHATEGOD,
and smokes up a little HIGH ON FIRE (the latter two both acknowledged
influences). Maybe then you'll understand why this shit is too heavy
for the candy asses among you.

had a tendency for creating dis-loving crust, but this is by far the
most vicious, ferocious and just plain raging recording to date. You
all should know Diskonto by now, after numerous splits and albums -
Bloody fuckin' käng! Highly political lyrics, definitely well-written
and worthy giving a second thought to.
DRILLER KILLER „And the Winner Is…” CD__ 39,00 13 tracks of
devastating Swedish hardcore played with unmatched brutality and
experience. Thick metal-edged guitars backed by punishing d-beat
drumming and extremely harsh low-end vocals courtesy of the bands
founder. This album continues to deal out their own brand of raw
aggression laced with the harsh realities of life. Pissed off is an
understatement...
DRILLER KILLER „Cold Cheap & Disconnected” CD__ 39,00 This
is Driller Killer's sixth full length and it follows the progression
that you see in their style when comparing albums not to mention the
high levels of kickassitude. This album sticks with their metal infused
Scandinavian hardcore sound that their known for as is expected. What
really separates this album from the others is that it leans more
towards that metal side. More complex fills and solos pull it further
away from being thrown in with other hardcore bands. Basically, if you
like other Driller Killer releases you're not going to be disappointed
by any means…
DRILLER KILLER „Fuck the World” CD__ 39,00 These guys are
really hard to categorize. There's aspects of metal, punk, crust,
hardcore, thrash and all that good stuff. I'd definitely say that
thrash, punk, and metal dominate. One consistency across the board is
that scent of Swedish background and influence you get from good
Scandinavian bands. I would definitely say Fuck The World is very
comparable to Disrupt or even Doom.
DRILLER KILLER „Reality Bites” CD__ 39,00 Reality Bites is
Driller Killer's fourth full length and has a noticeable style
alteration from their release prior to this, Fuck The World, mainly
because there seems to be a lot more mid-tempo beats. The fast stuff is
still comparable to Disrupt or Doom, but with more thrash / speed metal
oriented riffs than Fuck The World. Think D.R.I. or even early 80s
Metallica. At the same time, some of the mid-tempo songs remind me of
old crust in the category of Extinction of Mankind…
DRILLER KILLER „The 4Q Mangrenade” CD__ 39,00 The 4Q
Mangrenade is Driller Killer's latest album and is consistent with
their sound as of late. I found it to be quite reminiscent of Reality
Bites and Cold Cheap and Disconnected. At the same time this album
pulls away from their sound on the last two albums, taking Swedish
hardcore in a new direction. As I've said before, Driller Killer's
sound is constantly progressing from album to album.
DRILLER KILLER „Total Fuckin Brutalized” CD__ 39,00 Total
Fuckin' Brutalized is a combination of Driller Killer's first two
albums Total Fucking Hate and Brutalize. There is a very prominent old
Swedish hardcore sound melded with old crust similar to Doom and
Extinction of Mankind.
END OF ALL „Same Shit But Different” CD__ 39,00 Blistering
Swedish Thrash featuring an ex member of Wolfpack. They add a little
tragedy influence and End of All come on strong and slaughter everyone
in site. Watch out for this band. Totally awesome and 100% essential if
you like Swedish hardcore.
END OF ALL „The Art of Decadence” CD__ 39,00 Abba aside, End
Of All encompasses all the best parts of Scandinavian hardcore/metal.
If you liked their first album “Same Shit But Different” you’re going
to love this one. And for those of you who haven’t been graced by the
auditory enlightenment that is End Of All, think Skitsystem meets
Wolfbrigade/Wolfpack meets At The Gates. Every song on this album works
on multiple levels. The first track “The Age of the Serpents” blew me

NASHGUL „Humanicidio” CD__ 39,00 It seems like grind bands are
a dime a dozen these day, and a lot of them sound alike or are just
plain mediocre. Out of all the grindcore bands that I’ve heard lately,
Nashgul definitely stands out as one that isn’t afraid to stray from
the stereotypical barrage of blasts beats and unintelligible guitar.
This is one of those albums that you put on and all your friends say
“whoa, who the fuck is this?” There is an obvious death metal influence
here. The vocals range from piercing high screeches, to low
Mesrine-esque growls, along with layered and call and answer dual vocal
sections. What I think really separates these guys from other grind
bands is the guitar: it isn’t an onslaught of noise oriented chords
structured in a “fit as many notes as possible into a 30 second song.”
There is a noticeable melody and structure to Nashgul’s songs, which
gives them an appeal to lovers of grind and death metal across the
board. One of the best parts of this album is that it is a compilation
of 7”s, unreleased tracks, and a split. This lets you hear the
progression of Nashgul’s sound without having to keep switching
records. If you like death metal and you like grind, buy this album and
get blown away. 31 tracks, combining the best elements of Nasum and
Looking For An Answer. One of the best new grindcore bands out there
right now... This also includes a 6 minute long live video.

German socio-political grinders Neuron, blends textbook grindcore
mastery with just the right amount of death metal which should please
anyone who thinks the idea of classic Brutal Truth battling against the
early days of Pestilence while the best Polish grindcore acts of the

record up. Short songs, and non stop changes. Tacoma's SIDETRACKED play
power violence with a modern hardcore sound, sort of like if Count Me
Out listened to No Comment a bit too much. 14 songs in just over 8
minutes including Minutemen and Prong covers. Scranton, Pennsylvania's
DEAD RADICAL sound is undescribable, with 13 songs in under 9 minutes,

The underground hardcore scene of the mid-late Eighties was UK punk
rock's last significant creative gasp. Emerging from the wreckage of
the anarcho punk scene spawned by the likes of Crass and Conflict, it
took its influences from the studs 'n' leather punk bands of the early
Eighties such as Discharge and GBH, and also the nascent American
hardcore movement and the emerging metal/punk crossover scene. Filter
all of this through some through fiercely DIY aesthetics and you had a
potent movement that spawned such seminal acts as Napalm Death, ENT,
The Stupids and Heresy. With the backing of John Peel and an unwavering
work ethic, these bands, and the labels that launched them (including

The Feeding of the 5000 interviews. The Feeding show was probably the
biggest anarcho-punk event in 20 years featuring some of the original
bands that started the movement and it caused a lot of controversy.

it was also decided to mount a project asking the question if

"Chaos i świńska skóra"

Strózyński urodził się w 1964 roku, mając 22 lata wystąpił w Jarocinie
z kapelą Schizofereniczna Prostytutka Maria. Potem był dziennikarzem,
opublikował też zbiór nowel "Inny wymiar rzeczywistości". To jego
pierwsza powieść. Momentami gorzka, momentami wesoła historia
pijaka-nieudacznika, który nigdzie nie potrafi dłużej zagrzać miejsca.
Za młodu bohater grał na jarocińskiej scenie z punk rockowym zespołem,
podbijając serca publiczności wywrotowymi tekstami i narażając się w
zamian na ostre potraktowanie przez MO. Dalsze losy bohatera to pasmo
niepowodzeń: zawiedziona miłość, frustracja z powodu utraconej wraz ze
skrobanką szansy na ojcostwo, potem próby w zawodzie dziennikarza
zakończone skandalem i usunięciem z pracy po konflikcie z lokalnymi
władzami... Alkohol, coraz więcej alkoholu, próby odwyku, nawroty,
kolejne zawody, trudności ze znalezieniem pracy, a głowa – pomimo
upływających lat – wciąż nabita młodzieńczymi ideami buntu. Szara
rzeczywistość pijaka, ale ukazana bez użalania się nad sobą samym, lecz
z ironicznym, a nawet wesołym dystansem. Proza Stróżyńskiego przywodzi
na myśl „Pył” Johna Fantego, którego bohater z podobną chłopięcą
beztroską przechodzi obok najgorszych przeciwności losu. Budująca, choć
często naiwna, jest rzadko tylko opuszczająca bohatera wiara, że
jutrzejszy dzień może być lepszy. Zwykle jest gorszy, choć zdarzają się
i w tej opowieści promienne przebłyski – niczym chwile trzeźwości
dodające wiary we własne możliwości.

The documentary film Iggy Pop: Lust For Life was shot in 1986 when Iggy
showed up on the charts again with a song of the same name. It features
interviews with both Iggy and the Stooges' lead guitar player, the late
Ron Asheton, concert footage from 1986, and archival footage of the
Stooges dating back to their early days in Ann Arbor, Michigan playing
on campus at the University of Michigan.

Jasper has been busy again with his video camera as the band toured
