The first Polish punk band to release the vinyl LP outside of the commercial and state owned music companies! As they started to play again in the summer of 2011, 3 original members + a drummer and a guitarist from WILCZY SZANIEC, we decided to make all their releases available again. They played some live shows with this line-up and the feedback is amazing. Outstanding and unique band, that seems to see no intention in eating its own tail. Their live set contains a lot of new tracks!
They were the first band we released in 1991. Intense hard core energy and very specific lyrics - poetical, but still hard hitting.
The first d.i.y. record ever released in Poland was an LP by a band from Krakow - INKWIZYCJA (and that was also the first "proper" NNNW release). They were one of the biggest bands in late 80's / early 90's when the d.i.y. scene was forming in Poland.
They played close to 400 gigs at the time, mainly Poland, but also Austria, Czech, their Italian tour was cancelled last minute...
They never stopped to play, but had to change line up some times. From mid-90s the line up remains the same. They've recorded some songs in '85 in Gold Rock Studio (run by Armia guitarist Robert Brylewski). Then, in '97 they recorded another 5 songs, that were released a year later as 7"EP "Slowo" (The word"). In 2000 NNNW released cassette "Slowo i archiwalia" ("The word and archive") including 7" tracks, 2 cuts from Gold Rock session and another 2 taken from the very first demo the band released themselves even before the LP. Another side of the tape contains the band's singer's poetry set (he used to have live shows for some years, published a couple of volumes himself) with some strange sampled music backgrounds. It's important to note, that the band's lyrics and singer's poetry made them icons of the anti-religious punk scene. One of their concerts was banned by local bishop who got mad seeing posters for INKWIZYCJA and AMEN concert in his town.
In 2001 the band recorded another album - "Stare fotografie" ("Old photos") and soon found itself in hiatus for some years.
2011 line-up adds some fresh blood, manic drumming and more guitar noise.

My favourite "late" album by Czech post-punk crew. Originally released in 1999, now available on vinyl for the first time. This album was mixed by Dan Rathbun at Polymorph - and is completely not similar to Tragedy or His Hero Is Gone stuff he made... But still great sounding, with all the brass instruments accompanying the usual Czech magic rhythm machine...

Hasiok labels. The idea came from CASTET crew.In January we silently non-celebrated 20th anniversary of the label. Yes. We picked up the first independent vinyl LP in Poland (ever!) from the pressing plant on the day US troops attacked Iraq. Easy to remember for anti-war allies everywhere.
The LP was by Polish band INKWIZYCJA and is long gone. We'll try to re-release it this year.

The summer heat of 2010 made some Warsaw dudes, who have been pretty much experienced in playing hardcore, metal and punk, decide to team up together to create a musical hybrid that by any means couldn’t be called a summer vacation soundtrack. Past and present members of a few Warsaw bands (Government Flu, Drip of Lies, Daymares, Coalition, Sunrise, Born Anew to name a few) wrote really sinister, angry and filthy tunes, inspired by the darkest and the most furious songwriting of last decades (from Born Against and Rorschach, through
Entombed and Neurosis, to Cursed and Converge). Bitterness and frustration helped to spawn a full length made of 9 (well, rather IX) songs – some of them are slow and heavy, some of them are raging fast. In the very same hot summer the songs were recorded in their homebase
Warsaw and Nikt Nic Nie Wie got interested in putting them out soon after that (both in vinyl and CD format). To support the upcoming debut, Cast In Iron will hit the road anytime soon, gigging throughout Poland and beyond.

Both albums by those crazy Berliners on one CD. Passion and fury driven "archaic" hardcore. Black Flag and Los Crudos are the hints here, but their music is much more varied - they seem to have listened to a lot of good stuff over the years. And they are an incredible live act! Asian tour planned for summer 2011. Watch out!

"FAMILY MAN have been formed after I listened to a lot of post-My War Black Flag and wondered why there are no bands playing the slower and heavier brand of hardcore punk. We had just split up with my former band ALLIANCE, and I had moved to Glasgow where I started ATOMGEVITTER. Then I moved back to Berlin and asked Machine (the bassist in ALLIANCE) to start a new band. Michael Lampert joined in on drums and Harald von der Hasenheide was recruited for bass. Originally I wanted to sing like Rollins but sounded more like Martin from LOS CRUDOS, so I was nicknamed Henry Crudos by my friend Tommy. We didn't want to repeat mistakes we did in former bands, such as dragging out the time before the first gig or the first tour, so we quickly played a first gig (with THE FIGHT), and a second one in Berlin, then went straight on tour in the UK. From then on it was as much touring as possible. We recorded our first album at the practice room, mixed it ourselves and off we went. For the second LP we wanted to save time and have better sound, so we went to Robin from THE NOW-DENIAL, who's a genius. It took me some time to get accustomed to singing without a guitar round my neck. But there ya go...
We really enjoy playing together, and just hanging out with each other. The band's an amalgamation of influences and ideas about punk rock, and we departed from the Black Flag idea early on, but I think we created our own style. I hope it's interesting music and inspiring lyrics. I don't like to play boring rip-off shit, or listen to it."

"We all live in London, but we are not an English band anyways. And maybe our name, MEINHOF gives some suggestion, that we come from Germany… We are just the international threat.
There are some doubts about or name, that comes from a German activist, Urlike Meinhof… We do not support Rote Armee Fraktion, as we do not support killing people in the name of any political or religious slogans… Our name, MEINHOF is just the name of band… We believe our music and message is pretty aggressive, then MEINHOF as the name fits well to our style… but again it doesn’t mean, that we are Urlike Meinhof’s fans. Our music has evolved from digital hardcore to punk sounds, and we do not call it by development. We are just coming back to our roots… In the late 90’s, anarcho punk scene seemed to be in decline worldwide and all the revolutionary flames seemed to be burn out…
We were looking for something fresh, that could pump a bit of blood into the veins of the dead body. We went into underground electronic, but then we have realised, that people who take part in that scene are not the same revolutionary as their revolutionary, noisy and angry music. Those people say a lot about revolution and blah, blah, blah… Miserable!
Anarcho punk scene constantly grows stronger and then declines… and the story repeats. Though punk is always a kind of real threat to the system, and this makes us loyal to punk, not underground electronic."

3 people involved, discovered, that despite playing

it's quite fun to play softer, melodic, yet melancholic
guitar music. The hint can be that the bass player of

seems to have an ideal climate for more angry,
passionate acts. A coincidence?
This band's debut LP was published by Sadness Of Noise, now we finally puit out the CD version. Being compared to Madame Germne, Ekkaia and French screamo stuff may give ou a hint, but check yourself that they shall need no comparisions - MRR stuff got excited already:
"This Polish band incorporates TRAGEDY / HIS HERO IS GONE-style low-end plunging and modern new-school hardcore elements--stop 'n' start from slow pace into full-throttle speed to quiet interludes. It's all delivered with precision and is somewhat similar to BURST with darker, crusty-tinged overtones from the distortion-laden tooth of the recording. "Leaning heavily on the Polish bent towards the avantgarde, long-running Warsaw band IL-62's first CD-twenty years in the making!-has the same kind of moody, dark, layered soundscapes as, say, KRYZYS or P.C.S.D., but takes things in a tad more trippy direction with trance music influences, a rapid-fire neo-rapping quality to the vocals, bongos, sitars, digeridoo, and...wait ...don't leave... it's cool! Seriously! You either love the wild left-field experimentation of the Polish Punk scene ...or are just baffled by it. There's neat poetic and political lyrics shouted out by raspy vocals with some superb moments but less of a hardcore or brutal edge and more cacophony to the music overall, which makes for a mixed, meandering journey opposed to a concise impact. However, it's a fun place to wander around in for almost an hour, as the fourteen tracks walk on the long side. For the adventurous, see you there!"

Screamo mit derbstem ZAO-Geröchel, Hardcore-Stakkato, melodisher Zweitstimme und Glockenläuten on top. Hier sind Perfektionisten am Werk, denn was die fünf Polen musikalisch umsetzen, wird auch vom Artwork aufgegriffen und so liegt dem Digipak ein schön gestaltetes Booklet mit tollen Illustrationen bei. CHIODOS und FEAR BEFORE THE MARCH OF FLAMES wären die transatlantischen Counterparts zu ODSZUKAC LISTOPAD, aber der Fünfer weiß auch ohne große Zitate zu gefallen und schlägt in „Sand garden" auch mal akustische Töne an und beginnt dann ein schwungvolles „February 06", welches vor allem die Stärke der Vocals zeigt, an denen sich beinahe alle Musiker beteiligen. Elf Songs, die weniger wirr sind als amerikanische Scream-Tracks und bei Weitem weniger gekünstelt wirken. Überzeugt, beschäftigt und ist ein echter Grower. (S)

NNNW is happy to announce the release of a
long-awaited record from one of the most interesting
and more active polish bands of the last few years.
The LP was released in the summer of 2009, now the
time has come for the CD.
Since 2005 THE FIGHT have consistently followed their
own path, combining uncompromising socio-political
message with raging punk sound, not being afraid of
more melodic parts at the same time. After several
european tours, numerous shows in poland, a demo CD
and a 7" release, the band presents their first
full-length.
"MALDICION" includes 12 fast, perfectly sounding songs
with passionate female vocals. During the four years
of its existence The Fight evolved from melodic
hardcore/punk towards fierce harcore, sometimes even
crusty, sound.
Included is a booklet with lyrics raising important
and ucnonventional issues, with polish tranlations and
commentaries.

How is it again, The best Hardcore Punk records are
made under the most conservative and critical
governments? According to that "wisdom" it seems
that the political situation in poland is just
shortly before escalating. Cause thats where the THE
FIGHT are from. Right with the one-minute-opener
"Call it D.I.Y." they punch us with best
Hardcore/Punk with a crust edge that contains a
unmistakeable social-political message. For THE
FIGHT Punk is not just a four-letter word and thus
on "Maldicion" (spanish: curse) they offer twelve
pissed of HC-Bombs. Next to kickin' ass politically,
they also, like in the first song, lynch other Liers
and two faced guys: "You call it D.I.Y. and i call
it shit, another empty word, nothing stands behind
it. Competition! Punk rock stars! Mainstream
tactics! Gossip and Lies!" Very unique are the high
and screamed (keifen in german means something more
extreme than screaming but i didnt find a
translation, wolfi) vocals of singer asia. Her
remarkable screaming shapes the sound of THE FIGHT
and makes it stick in your ears for a long time
after. Even though THE FIGHT were fount in 2005
already, "Maldicion" is their first
Full-Length-Album after some 7"s, EPs, Samplers and
Demos. As to expect with 22 minutes running time it
doesnt offer much music but none the less an
intense, honest and very, very good one! (8 out of
